Most of you reading this "Our comfort Zone" will not remember having to do your 'home work' by an oil lamp set in the middle of a table, so all the kid could gather around it. This was before most people my age had electricity.  These days never seemed to be long enough, as the kids had to change clothes when they got in from school and go to the field and cut corn stalks and pile them for burning.  It makes you stop and catch your breath.  These were the days in late October when farmers gathered their crops, when so much depended on the harvest, and so little time to bring it in.  Every hour had to count.  It was these days' farmers started calling it a 'harvest moon.' This meant a full bright moon gave them.......

I could be that you and I are living right now in the light of a 'spiritual harvest moon.' How many of you know someone whose life is not revealing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ? Maybe that's why He's giving us a 'little more time.' What is the Spiritual Harvest?  A spiritual harvest; by that I mean a gathering of people who are ready to put their trust in Jesus Christ.

How can I be involved in the Harvest? 
 
Workers in the spiritual harvest are people who are intentionally involved in -situations, -events, -activities, -programs, and/or the lives of individual people, looking for some way to be a link, somehow, in the chain of events that brings a person to faith in Jesus.  Sure, I believe in the concept of the harvest; but are you involved in the harvest.  Are you watching from a distance?  How involved are you? - Or are you just half-heartedly involved - Or are you scared to be involved?

 
Beloved, the 'harvest' is my passion.  And it is my intention to use this means to help make it yours, as well.  We Christians need to be moving together as a powerful force in what ever city/state and surrounding we live, for Jesus Christ.  I have three suggestions:

 
FIRST, PRAYER: 
  If the statement, "No Christian is greater than his prayer life;  the "three-open prayer," prayed each new day, can give you some exciting opportunities to be a spiritual rescuer for some spiritually dying people around you.

        It goes like this: Lord, open a door? See, you're trusting Him for some of those natural opportunities He'll open up. Then, Lord, open their heart.  Get them ready, Lord, to hear about You.  And finally, Lord, open my mouth. Give me the courage, the words, the approach to use to point this person to you.  Have you got it?  "Lord, open a door. Lord, open their heart.  Lord, open my mouth."                                               

                        
 SECOND, THROUGH GIVING YOUR MONEY.

 Paul tells us in  2 Corinthians 9:7  Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

 
THIRD, THROUGH GIVING YOUR TIME.
 Friends, you've got to know this - Everyone of you has a supernatural power residing in you to help in the harvest.  My main objective is to help you discover that power in your life and help you unleash it.

 
Some one said, and I quote: "There are only two things that we can do here on earth that we can't do in heaven.  One is sin, and the other is share the Good news of Jesus with someone that doesn't know Him.  Which of those two do you think God left us here to do?"  I ask you, beloved, why did God leave you here after you became a believer, rather than take you straight to heaven? The answer is simple. He wants you involved in the Harvest!
