"HIS VOICE,
OUR CHOICE"
I read just recently someone's
definition of a "Good Pilot;" which was: "A good pilot does what it
take to get his passengers home," and he gave this example. When a
flight attendant tells passengers to take their seats because of storms
clouds, most do, but some don't. Again she warns, take you seat. Some
still want buckle up. The next voice heard was that of the pilot.
"This is Captain Brown, my job is to get you through the
storm, your job is to do what I say: Now sit down and buckle up."
Was the pilot wrong in what he did? I
sure don't think so. He wanted the passengers to be safe than
sorry. Good pilots do what it take to get their passengers home. So
does God. Here is a key question. How far do you want God to go to get
your attention? If God has to choose between your 'eternal safety' and
your 'earthly comfort,' which do you hope He will choose?
The Bible has a simple story, "God made
man." Man rejected God, but God has not given up on man. All through
the Bible the Voice can be heard: "I'm the Pilot, you are the
passengers, My job is to get you home, your job is to do what I say."
Psalms 81: 7-16 is of tremendous
significance, it contains God's own testimony unto His people as what
He expected of them, and what they could expect of Him.
What authority does He have to speak,
and who gave Him the right to command? Simple; He like the pilot,
knows what we don't, and can see what we can't.
I see Christian men and women as
"Flight Attendants," and we "Flight Attendants" need to move out of
"Our Comfort Zone," and see the need to tell passengers (loved ones -
co-workers - friend- etc) storm clouds are before us - "BUCKLE
UP." You just may consider this "Our Comfort Zone" message,
Psalms 81: 7-16, as in-flight-navigation.
God's desire is to make
His people "more than conquerors."
His Voice, Our Choice.
God bless,
Bro. Roy
