“A GIANT STEP FOR THE LORD”

 

I received a phone call March 18 that brought a large lump of gratitude in my very being,  from my grandson Logan, who is  with around 20 other Christians on a mission trip to Ypsilanti, Michigan , to help establish a mission church.  In our conversation Logan told me about a person that accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.  Just think;  instead of a trip to the ???? on spring break, here  20  persons are witnessing to others of God’s saving grace. I witnessed in our conversation a joy and thankfulness that the world cannot take away.  This group of Christians are on “A Giant Step For The Lord.”

 

I have a question for you.  “Are you willing to go out on a limb with the  Lord Jesus?”  If the answer is yes,  this is the safest place you can be.  Your longing to live close to Jesus,  to be a living witness for Him is the greatest step for the Lord one can ever take. If your longing to live close to Jesus is at odds with your attempts to minimize risk,  you  are approaching a crossroad in your journey. In order to follow Him wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your tendency to play it safe.  Let the Lord Jesus lead you step by step through this day. If your primary focus is on Him, you can walk along perilous paths without being afraid. Eventually, you will learn to relax and enjoy the adventure of our journey together. As long as you stay close to Jesus,  His sovereign Presence protects you wherever you go.

 

Jesus said (Jn.12: 26) “If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be; if any man serve me, him will my Father honor.”
