"FIRST THINGS FIRST."

 Psalms 90: 12, Matthew 6: 33

I have heard it said many times, "You are never too old to learn." Then I remember (Ps.90:12): "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."  What that means is this: "Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend then as we should. With these thoughts before me, and the years of my life accumulation, I ask myself:

HOW CAN I MAKE THE REST OF MY LIFE THE BEST OF MY LIFE? You may want to ask the same question.

Someone said, "Life is like a dollar bill.  You can spend it any way you wish, but you can only spend it once." With this though in mind, let me remind you, there is really only one of two ways you can spend it.  You can waste it, or you can invest it.  The same thing is true with life. You may be young and feisty, you may be poor, or you may be rich, you may be old and puny; but I want you to realize: "You Can Make The Rest Of Your Life The Best Of Your Life."

Suppose you were starting life all over, and you are old enough to know right from wrong - you are old enough to know - learn - love, and really live. What do you think the Lord Jesus Christ would say if you were to ask Him: "How can I make the rest of my life the best of my life?"  Now, really, I don't think we have to wonder.  All we have to do is remember what Jesus said in MT. 6:33:  "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." But this we must do - "Move Out Of Our Comfort Zone."  We need to grasp this: "FIRST THINGS FIRST." If we put first - today - God, it would transform our life.

We must "SET PROPER PRIORITIES."  No question about it - everything else rises and falls right here.  If our priorities are not in order, our life will not be in order.  If our priorities are not right, we will not be right. God intends His truth to change us. See how the Lord's Word works in you to do that.  Read Psalms 27 and think about this: Is the Lord my Light - my salvation - my strength?  Is the one thing you desire and seek after - to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life?

But this we must know; in order to seek the kingdom, we must seek the King. There is no way we can have a kingdom without a king. The first priority of your life must be to seek the King of the kingdom.  The Christian life is more than just expecting the Lord, it is seeking the Lord. But you must seek Him first.  Faith is putting the Father first.  Jesus wants the first moments of every day - the first day of every week - the first part of every paycheck.  He wants to be first.

First Things First - Set Proper Priorities; and you life will take on new meaning, and the "Rest Of Your Life Will Be The Best Of Your Life."
